Liberty Walk FD RX7 in front of their Harajuku store

If anyone knows me, they know how much I love Shibuya and Harajuku. Having been into Japanese streetwear for over 20 years, these areas have always been a central hub. However as I get older, it’s becoming harder to visit these areas due to the sheer number of people. When we were in Japan last month, we managed to brave the crowds, take our walk around some of our favorite stores (Neighborhood, BEAMS, Stussy, etc.), and capture the Liberty Walk FD RX-7 in front of their store.

I know it’s been photographed countless times, but it’s still pretty cool to see a car parked in front of a store in the middle of Harajuku—a place where you’d never expect to see a car—especially one sitting so low to the ground with a full widebody kit and custom paint and livery. This is what I love, and have always loved, about Japan: the personal expression through car styling.
