During my recent trip to Japan, I really wanted to shoot Kaeda’s S14 Silvia. He’s converted it to a 180SX front by cutting and modifying a set of steel front fenders. The car is still a work in progress and currently sitting at his panel shop in Chiba, but I wanted to shoot it before it was completed.
The Silvia sits on a set of SSR Gartmaier wheels in very big sizes to keep that old-school style, with custom-flared rear bolt on fenders to match the custom front. It’s running a genuine BN Sports aero kit, twin pipes, and a roof wing.
The car has just started the final stages of preparation, so hopefully next time I’m in Japan, I’ll be able to shoot it completed.
