Garage Sokudo Matsuri 2025 Recap

Well, what a weekend. I took yesterday to switch off and reflect on how successful the Garage Sokudo Matsuri was on Saturday. I wanted to create an event that really embraced the Japanese car culture we all love so much and bring together a community of likeminded people, and that’s exactly what we did.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. Were people even going to show up? But seeing so many of you put time and effort into getting your cars ready and bringing them down completely blew me away. I’m so grateful to everyone who made the effort, especially those who trailered their dedicated race cars just to be part of it.

The spread of cars was everything Garage Sokudo represents, a glimpse into our world. From S, R and JZX chassis to Hondas, drift cars to Kyusha, there was representation from so many different styles, all in one place.

By midday, the carpark was packed. Hundreds of people came through from 12 to 6, checking out the cars, hanging out, and picking up merch. Our event-exclusive tees and stickers sold out, and we launched a few new designs and jackets on the day too.

I want to give a huge thank you to all the car owners who brought their cars out, the food vendors, everyone who helped the day run smoothly, and everyone who came down to enjoy it. My heart is full, I couldn’t be more appreciative.

So, what’s next? A lot. This has opened up so many opportunities for us, and we’re going to keep pushing to bring Japan to Australia in a way no one else has.

Anyway, enough rambling, here are some photos from the event.

Chris’s JZX81 Mark 2 track car was pulled out of the garage for the event

As well as Karl’s KE70 wagon powered by a 3SGE Beams

You know how much we love rare Japanese wheels, these Trial Zelda Magum wheels were right at home

1313 boys were in full presence

The amount of old AVS wheels at the event made me so happy

Aaron’s 3SGE powered Levin was at its first event since being built and it was beautiful!

A sea of old Japanese cars, I am in heaven!

Even the car park outside had some super cool cars!

Seeing a Juicebox sticker at one of my events is cool! Lets push Neil to come to the next one!

Lastly, a chance to take some photos with some of my closest friends who are also into cars, what a line up.
